Matthew DaSilva (Matt H.)

Founder of Mentora

As founder of a medical equipment rental company, Matthew DaSilva built and managed operations around IntraOperative Monitoring (IOM) machines, coordinating with technicians, billers, and surgeons to deliver reliable clinical solutions and developing the people-centered approach he brings with him to Mentora.

As a math competitor and debater, he developed a unique blend of analytical rigor and problem-solving capability, which spurred Mentora’s distinctive focus on teacher-specialization and affordability.

Matthew’s experiences in policy debate prompted him to visit Southern Dallas, where he witnessed the socioeconomic disparity between private schools in affluent districts and underfunded public schools. That visit motivated him to develop Mentora, giving kids from school districts like Southern Dallas a fighting chance to compete on an even playing field.
